(GSM) – Slovakian side Zilina are very close to a spot in the UEFA Champions League group phase after beating Czech outfit Sparta Praha 0-2 on Tuesday.
Following the success of the Slovakian national team at the expense of their Czech neighbours, Zilina hoped to achieve a similar result in their away match to Sparta.
And they got exactly that as Momoudou Ceesay broke the deadlock in Zilina’s favour after 51 minutes and Tomas Oravec made it 0-2 in the 73rd.
Sparta now face a very difficult challenge in the return leg, which will be played in Zilina on Wednesday, August 25.
