Hakim Ziyech of Ajax has ruled out a move to Sevilla at this point, according to Marca.
The La Liga side are keen on bringing quality players into their ranks in order to compete in the Champions League again, and the Morocco international, currently at the African Cup of Nations, is one of the names on their list of targets. However, Ziyech has revealed that he wouldn’t be prepared to leave Ajax to join the likes of Sevilla, with all due respect to them.
This statement seems to be indicating high ambitions for the 26-year-old winger, whose exploits with the Dutch champions in the season that has just ended have reportedly attracted the interests of top clubs around Europe; especially in the view of his reportedly affordable buyout clause. He told Algemeen Dagblad, a daily newspaper based in Rotterdam, that if he isn’t moving to a club similar to Ajax, he sees no reason to move at all.
