Zlatan’s agent rules out Real Madrid move; Juventus keen on Borussia Dortmund hotshot

Zlatan’s agent rules out Real Madrid move

The agent of Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has moved to deny reports that his client might join Real Madrid.

The Sweden international recently revealed that he was no longer enjoying football, which led to speculations linking him with a move away from San Siro.

Real Madrid reportedly expressed interest in the 30-year-old, but the player’s agent says Ibrahimovic is happy at Milan.

“This is a typically Italian soap opera around Zlatan,” Ernesto Bronzetti told Radio Sportiva.

“I am convinced Adriano Galliani is right, in that there’s no need to worry. I can categorically rule out he’s looking for a transfer.

“Ibrahimovic is happy at Milan and I don’t know a single player who speaks ill of the Rossoneri. He was simply having a moment of disappointment when he said he was bored of football.”

Bronzetti then laughed off a reported interest from Real Madrid.

“As for the Liga clubs and their managers, they have nothing at all to do with this issue. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has a rule, he never buys players over 30.

He only made an exception for Ricardo Carvalho and does not intend to repeat it.”

Juventus keen on Borussia Dortmund hotshot

Juventus are weighing up move for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are short on options at the heart of defence and they are keen to sign at least another centre-back in January.

Recent reports suggest that the Old Lady are tracking the progress of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici traveled to Turkey on Friday to watch Hummels play for Germany, but he didn’t have much to see as the 22-year-old sat out the 90 minutes on the bench.

Hummels is a product of Bayern Munich youth school, but he left the club in 2009 after playing just one senior game for the Bavarians.

The highly rated defender made a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund, where he immediately earned a starting place and went on to win Bundesliga title last season.

Hummels currently has nine Germany caps to his name and is considered one of the most promising defenders in Europe.

The 22-year-old recently signed a contract extension until June 2014, and he is valued at €18 million by the Millionaires.

Tom Cleverley signs new Manchester United deal

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has signed a new four-year contract until June 2015.

The 22-year-old is a product of Manchester United youth academy and is currently regarded an important part of the starting line-up.

Following his impressive performances at the start of the season, the club decided to reward him with a new contract.

The deal was confirmed on club’s official website, with the player admitting he was delighted with the start of the season.

“It’s been a fantastic start to the season for me, breaking into the first team and getting an England call-up.

“Having grown up at the club, I’d love to be able to make a contribution to United winning more trophies. We have a squad with great ability and I can’t wait to get started again.”

Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted that Cleverley has signed a new contract.

“Tom is one of the brightest prospects in the English game. For a young boy, he has a good footballing brain which, when coupled with his energy and ability, makes for a player with a fine future ahead of him.
