Although they could only land a bottom spot finish last season, Sigi Schmid’s side, led by Zlatan Ibrahimović have enjoyed a mid-year bounce and have begun to climb up the table. Looking to break into the playoff position, LA Galaxy will travel to New England on Sunday.

For former Premier League shot stopped Brad Friedel, coming off the back of a 0-0 draw with a struggling Seattle Sounders side last time out, although New England have now only lost one of their last eight, their major problem has been transforming a single point into three. Drawing five of their last eight in all competitions, The Revolution were knocked out of the US Open Cup by lower-tier Louisville last month and the hosts have begun to struggle with some defensive issues too. Although keeping a clean sheet last time out, New England haven’t kept another since April and have also shipped 10 in their last five. Keeping out a high-flying Galaxy side will be a struggle on Sunday.

As for Sigi Schmid’s side, although few expected Galaxy to make much of an impact this year, the visitors have valiantly battled back and coming off the back of thumping Colombus Crew last time out, LA have now scored nine in their last three and they have former PSG and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimović to thank. The 36-year-old found the net last week and now has six in his last four for The Whites. Now sat joint-second in the goalscoring charts, backing Ibrahimović to carry on his goalscoring record at 1/1 seems like a safe bet here.
