Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora insists reports of a reunion with former White Hart Lane boss Juande Ramos at Real Madrid are wide of the mark.
Ramos was sacked by Tottenham in October but has been appointed as Bernd Schuster's replacement at the Bernabeu.
The Spaniard immediately went public on his admiration for Ivory Coast star Zokora, saying: “From the very first day at Spurs I was interested in Zokora because he always understood the game plan and I liked his discipline.
But Zokora is thriving under Harry Redknapp at Spurs and claimed he is in no hurry to fulfil his ambition of playing in Spain.
“I love it at Spurs at the moment,” he told skysports.com. “I signed a new contract not long ago and Spurs are doing well with Harry (Redknapp).
“You would need to ask a club official (about any interest) but I am fine at Tottenham.
“Real are one of the biggest teams in the world, but there are only links because Ramos is there. He was always linked with Sevilla players when he was here.
“I have never hidden my interest in playing in La Liga. But I am in the biggest league in the world, so it will be hard for me to find something better elsewhere.”
