Zola hoping for Call call-up

Carlton Cole has been backed for an England call-up by Irons manager Gianfranco Zola. “I hope he is considered because he is a very good player and he is not yet at the top of his game,” he was quoted.

“He can still improve. He is working hard every day and getting more confident and if he plays for England, it will be good for him and for England. I’m not the one who can tell Fabio Capello what to do because he knows more about football than I do, but I am sure he will be considering him.”
