West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has revealed that he has held talk over a move for Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Zola is keen to bring the Barca striker to Upton Park but the former Chelsea star is reluctant to leave the Spanish giants.
“He’s playing for Barcelona, he’s playing in the UEFA Champions League – although he is not playing regularly, he is there,” the Hammers manager told the Daily Mirror.
“The alternative is to come and play for West Ham – which is obviously a smaller club. I can understand his concern. He is human.
“We are a good club with a good future but maybe he doesn’t see that. We will see what happens.”
