Michael Zorc insists that Mario Goetze is happy with life at Borussia Dortmund and has no intention of leaving the club anytime soon.
The Germany international is continually being linked with a move away from Dortmund, but Zorc is confident he will stay put for the foreseeable future.
“Mario has an ongoing contract with BVB and he’s feeling very well at the club and in this city. There are no signs that this will change any time soon,” Dortmund’s sports manager told Bild.
“Mario is an extraordinary player and he’s still only 20. He has plenty of room for improvement.”
Zorc then went on to discuss the situation of Nuri Sahin at Liverpool, and stated that a January move is out of the question for now.
“Nuri is one of ours and we’re closely monitoring his situation,” he said.
“We have previously said that we might make a move if he says he only wants to play at Dortmund. We have to remain realistic, though. Nothing has changed in that regard.”
The Dortmund director added that the club would not be selling Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski.
“He is not for sale at any price this winter. We still have our own ambitions,” Zorc said.
Lewandowski, 24, is under contract until June 2014.
Lewandowski has scored 53 goals in 115 appearances for Juergen Klopp’s side since joining the club from Lech Poznan in 2010.
