(GSM) – Zulte-Waregem are unlikely to finish higher than sixth place in the Belgian league after a goalless draw with champions Anderlecht.

In Friday’s only game, Anderlecht had little left to play for as the Brussels outfit have already secured the Belgian title.

Zulte did have a reason to give it their all as they are currently last in the championship group and only a win would give them a realistic chance of a top five finish.

But as no goals were scored against Anderlecht, Zulte remain at one point from fifth-placed Kortrijk who also have a game in hand.

The battle for second place continues this weekend as Gent host Kortrijk on Saturday and third-placed Brugge receive Sint-Truiden a day later.
