Barcelona are set to reignite their interest in Napoli full-back Juan Camilo Zuniga, reports Catalan daily Sport.
The Catalans have been keeping close tabs on the Colombian for several months now and they are believed to be preparing a January bid for his services.
Zuniga was reportedly keen on joining Barcelona, but the fact he recently agreed to a new long-term deal with the Azzurri hinted that his proposed move to Camp Nou was off.
Nevertheless, while the defender’s release clause now stands at €45 million, another clause in his contract states that the Catalans can sign him for mere €15 million.
This is enough to suggest that Zuniga is still hoping to complete a move to Camp Nou, so chances are Barcelona will return for the player in the January transfer window.
The Catalans already boast a five-point cushion at the La Liga summit and they are 2/5 to defend the league title this season.
