Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that Juan Camilo Zuniga has rejected a new contract offer from the Azzurri.
The Colombian’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and it appears Napoli are losing the battle to keep hold of their star player.
Despite the full-back missing out on a summer move to Juventus, he could soon be leaving Stadio San Paolo after reportedly rejecting the latest contract offer from the club.
It is believed that Zuniga is determined to join Barcelona, who see him as a perfect long-term replacement for Daniel Alves.
The Catalans will be free to negotiate a Bosman deal at the start of the New Year, while they could also attempt to sign the player on a cut-price deal in January.
Juan Camilo Zuniga, 27, has spent last four years at Napoli, making 115 Serie A appearances and scoring 4 goals.
His current side will be in action in midweek as they host Sassuolo on Wednesday, with Azzurri 4/25 to keep their 100% record intact.
