Zuniga set for new Napoli deal

Sky Italia is reporting that Napoli are set to tie down star player Juan Camilo Zuniga to a new long-term deal.

With the Colombian’s current deal due to expire at the end of the season, Juventus and Barcelona have both attempted to snatch the highly rated footballer from Stadio San Paolo, but it appears they have failed in their quest.

Buoyed by the club’s impressive start to the new season, the 27-year-old seems to have decided to accept the latest contract offer from the Azzurri.

According to Sky Italia, the new contract will see him earn €3.5 million per campaign, with €30 million release clause also set to be inserted.

Camilo Zuniga has developed into one of world’s best full-backs during his time at San Paolo, making a total of 116 Serie A appearances for the Azzurri.

The Colombia international will be in the starting line-up this evening as Napoli battle Arsenal at the Emirates, where the Azzurri are 3/1 to claim maximum points.
