Zimbabwean defender Lincoln Zvasiya has made an immediate impact on South African football in only his second league appearance.
Zvasiya scored the winner in the 80th minute as Kaizer Chiefs came from a goal down to beat Free State Stars 2-1 on Saturday.
Chiefs were outplayed for 75 minutes and trailed after a quarter of an hour through an Edward Manqele goal.
The Stars forward timed his run well to edge ahead of the Chiefs defence, as he gathered a lofted cross, and then finished off with a powerful shot deflecting into the net off the bar for his fifth goal of the season.
Chiefs looked well beaten until an inspired substitution saw Sthembiso Ngcobo equalise in the 76th minute.
Four minutes later Zvasiya stole the victory with a speculative shot from 40 yards, only to see Stars keeper Kennedy Mweene make a bad error to gift Chiefs the three points.
The win sees the Chiefs move to third in the league, only one point behind the league leaders.
Meanwhile, an eighth minute goal from George Maluleka for Ajax Cape Town was enough to secure a 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows.
Ajax move to seventh with the win while Arrows remain 12th.
