AC Milan have opened talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a new contract, Corriere dello Sport claims.

The Italian newspaper reported that Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, met with Milan officials Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida at the club’s headquarters on Thursday.

Ibrahimovic’s current deal expires only in 2015, but Milan are reportedly interested in extending the contract by one year, while offering him a pay increase.

The Sweden international, who joined the Rossoneri in 2010, is the club’s top Serie A scorer, with 15 goals this term.

It is believed that Raiola also discussed Mark van Bommel’s future at San Siro during Thursday’s meeting.

The Dutch midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season, with a move back to PSV reported as a possibility in recent months.
