AC Milan will hope that this coming summer will be an eventful one. They are still trying to rebuild their team and prepare it for reaching their targets and finally returning the club to the Champions League football. For that to happen, so many other things will have to fall in the right place, including the new recruitments.
However, at San Siro will want to have a really uneventful summer from the point of their big name players in the squad. That mostly goes down to keeping Gianluigi Donnarumma. In fact, Milan are prepare to offer the goalkeeper a contract extension. According to Calciomercato, the Italian shot-stopper is due to become a free agent in 2021. That means this summer he will be entering his final year of the contract and Milan want to give him a 12-month long extension.
That way they could keep their upper hand and maybe even sell Donnarumma for a much bigger fee, but for that to happen, the goalkeeper would probably have to accept a drastic pay cut.
