Liverpool are still in the Premier League title race and still have a decent chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, but the club never stop looking at ways to improve. Even though the Reds have the best defensive record in Premier League this season, a centre-back reinforcement is still much needed.
Virgil van Dijk has done brilliantly to improve the centre-backs paired with himself, but Jurgen Klopp will not find that as enough. According to the Mirror, Liverpool are looking to sign Matthias Ginter from Borussia Monchengladbach. The club are keen on the German centre-back who was one of the players Klopp signed while at Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp obviously believes him and Ginter back then joined BVB for £9m from Freiburg and is doing very well at the currently third-placed team of Bundesliga. Ginter is 25 years old and there is still time and space for him to improve.
