Dusan Tadic is staying at Ajax! Amsterdammers were eager to see the majestic Serbian playmaker stay at the Johan Cruyff ArenA and that is exactly what they got. Tadic and Ajax have signed a contract extension to his previous deal, but they added an interesting flavor to it.
Ajax’s number 10 had a contract until June 2022, but with this extension it will run through June 2023, but that is not all. The two sides also signed a deal with which Tadic will stay at the club for another three years, until the summer of 2026, but as a youth coach.
It was a surprise to learn about it, but it looks like Serbia international is setting his sights on a new career four years from now. By the time his player contract runs out in 2023, Tadic will be just months from turning 35 and that might be ideal time for him to call it a day. After that, Ajax would get the chance to keep him as a youth coach and develop his new career.
