In what is expected to bet yet another lively encounter between two of Scotland’s biggest rivals, Dundee United will host Dundee FC at Tannadice Park on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, putting in yet another dominant display by picking up a 4-0 win over Ayr last weekend, Dundee United have continued on what has been a stellar run of form entering Christmas. Already holding a 13-point buffer at the top of the table, the mood around Tannadice Park at the highest it has been in recent memory. With Head Coach Robbie Neilson finding his side landing nine wins on the bounce, it is no surprise that Dundee have continued to shine on the final third. Ledy by leading marksman Lawrence Shankland who already has 19 goals this season, Friday’s hosts have 12 goals in their last five matchups.

As for the visitors, picking up three points away at Partick Thistle last weekend, there is no doubt that Dundee FC’s run of form nearing closer to Christmas will be impressing Head Coach James McPake. Now landing back-to-back victories, including putting four past Dunfermline earlier in the month, the guests have continued to shine on the road. The Blacks have lost just one of their last six matches away from the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park, a run that stems back to the end of September. With nine of the last 10 matches between the bitter rivals seeing over 2.5 goals at full-time, we’re backing another high-scoring thriller on Friday night.
