It is never boring at Marseille! The Ligue 1 side are a very interesting one with a lot of unusual characters in their squad and one of those is Dimitri Payet. One of the leaders of this team seems to be getting closer to potentially leaving the club next year. According to Le10Sport, Payet could be making a move abroad.
The reasoning behind these claims is quite simple. Payet has a contract with Marseille until the end of the current season, the summer of 2020. This means that at the end of the season he would be free to go and it looks like Andre Villas-Boas could lose Payet due to finances. The Frenchman is earning somewhere around 7.15 million euros per season, or 150.000 euros per week. At 32 years of age, Marseille are not ready to offer him a new deal as he is such a strain on their financial resources.
That is why the clubs from Turkey that are interested in Payet might get him once the season ends.
